# DS-Lite

Dual-Stack Lite (DS-Lite) is a method for sharing of [IPv4 addresses](/glossary/i/ip_address) by combining [IPv4-in-IPv6](/glossary/0/4in6) and [NAT](/glossary/n/nat).
